During the mad space conquest
of the 1960s, the spaceships crews faced
a serious problem: the common, conventional
ballpens didn't work due to the scarce or
no gravity. NASA decided then to invest
over 1.5 million dollars and thousands of
labour work of its best geniuses, aim to
developing a prototype of a ballpen immune
to zero gravity. Finally, the astronauts
were equipped with the costly pens. The
Russians, instead, gave their cosmonauts
pencils. | more
